[intro]
[Verse 1]
In my youth, I knew not the vastness of heaven and earth
Ever weaving idle sorrows into a solo melody
Those eyes then, clear yet utterly absurd
Climbing high towers, pointing at the world, learning to look cool
[Verse 2]
Without sorrow, yet deliberately feigning it
A heart aflame,  like a raging fire burning  within my chest
Gazing at distant  mountains and rivers, believing  that was the end
Yet unaware  that fate's net  had long  been waiting
[Chorus]
Youth's innocence  was such a  naive dream
Believing  that with pure devotion  one could  shake the heavens
Now  ambitions unfulfilled,  no path to serve the nation,  who understands
Seeing the nation's affairs grow ever more chaotic, only then do I realise heroes are useless.
[Verse 3]
Time is merciless, smoothing away the sharp edges of days gone by.
That heart full of righteous indignation now yields only bitter laughter.
I wish to speak, yet find my words too feeble.
In this tumultuous world, perhaps silence is better.
[Chorus]
The innocence of youth—what a childish dream it was.
Believing  with fervent sincerity  one could  shake the heavens
Now  ambitions go unrequited  no path to serve the nation  who understands
Seeing the nation's affairs grow ever worse  only then do I realise  heroes are useless
[Bridge]
If you ask me  what troubles me  at this very moment
The thousand words  within my heart  have long  turned to silence
Wanting to speak yet holding back  wanting to speak yet holding back
Those  passionate vows  scattered to the wind
[Outro]
In the end, only  a soft  sigh remains
Lifting my gaze  to the window,  withered leaves  drift in crimson
Whispering faintly,  ‘Autumn's chill  is truly splendid’
Autumn's chill  is truly splendid, ah
Truly splendid
[outro]
